Hello Crush,
Happy Saturday, Crushes.
Here’s what you’re devouring!

DEVOUR {things to watch, read, and listen to}

In our periodic DEVOUR column we share all the things we think you should eat up.
Thank you to the CRUSH Readers who sent in DEVOUR recommendations. If you've devoured something you loved, please let us know here!
From Coco. Watch. Paradise (Hulu)
From Ed. Watch. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: Runnin' Down a Dream (Apple TV+)
Seems like your CRUSH Readers are pretty into music, especially classic rock, so they’ll want to know about this great Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers documentary that has just been re-released on Apple TV+. It captures the moment of the band’s rise and is so full of heart.
From Dan. Watch. The Pitt (HBO Max)
My son told me about this heart-pumping, riveting series and my first thought was that he is too young to realize that the world doesn’t need another medical series. (He’s 23.) But I checked it out as a way to have something in common with him, and now I am actually addicted to it. Lit’s of hype around this show, but it lives up to it.
From Melissa. Watch/Listen. @kelsewhatelse on Instagram

Dish, you write a lot about friendships — making, auditing and cherishing them at this stage — so I thought CRUSH Readers might appreciate this clip on making friends from Instagram influencer Kelsey Pomeroy. She mostly gives “practical Mom” tips on her page, which is a stage I am well past (thank god), but this one applies to us, too.
From Dish. Read. Personal History: A Memoir by Katharine Graham
If you read Katharine Graham’s memoir Personal History (and probably even if you didn’t) then you know that her life was extraordinary. I remember the painful, vulnerable moment in the book when she admitted that she wore her clothes over and over for her first semester at Vassar because she had never learned to do laundry and was too shy to ask her roommate how to work the machines. In addition to her personal story, her life was tied up in some of the biggest moments in U.S. history — presiding over the Washington Post during the period of the Pentagon Papers and Watergate. It is this part of her professional career that the documentary focuses on, not her personal life. She deserves a documentary, and this is a good one.
But more than anything else, the documentary inspired me to re-read Personal History. Well, rather, to listen to It. I had read it when it came out in 1997, but there is a touching moment in this recent documentary where she shares what it felt like to read (for audible) the lines of her book where she reports on her husband’s suicide (the late Phil Graham). That has piqued my interest to pick up the book (listen)again. What a life.
From Dish.
This is a sexy, contemporary British MI6 spy thriller that’s worth trekking to the movie theaters for. Starring Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett, its conceit is that George (played by Fassbender) is given a shortlist of names of possible traitors within the intelligence organization and his wife Kathryn (played by Blanchett) is one of the names listed. It’s primarily shot in sleek amber shades, so the whole thing feels moody in a cool but warm way. There were moments that felt like the story line played second to the scenery, but the scenery was so good you won’t care.
From Rachel & David. Watch. Drops of God. (Apple TV+)
Believe it or not, this series about wine tasting is a thriller, a dysfunctional family drama and a gorgeous trip to France and Japan. It’s been out for a while, but if you never saw it, jump on it.
From Danielle. Watch. Your Friends & Neighbors
Okay this isn’t actually watchable yet. That’s in April. But it looks so good — and, as somebody who found out that my husband was cheating on me, which ripped my family apart and changed my life — I enjoy nothing more than drama’s that depict what we do at this stage of life after things fall apart. This is on Apple+.
From Nina. Read. The Tell.
This memoir from Amy Griffin, founder of G9 Ventures, is getting SO MUCH BUZZ. It’s an interesting look at her own journey of recovered memory, but I was particularly interested in the conversations she had with her closest circle.

PS: I added this book to Up Next: What’s on Dish’s Nightstand in the PrimeCrush Bookshop.

Dear Dish ...
“Dish,
I made the Peruvian Chicken Recipe that you (or somebody) recommended in Three Things. I have thoughts.
"Ok, I have thoughts.
First off, I could eat the cilantro sauce with everything. It's pretty close to perfect.
I just read through all of the cooking tips for on the Times Cooking, which are hysterical. I made it using bone in skin-on chicken breast because that's what I like, but didn't feel the need to tell everyone, unlike most of the commenters (there was a heated debate over cilantro).
I didn't wipe the marinade off, which I regret because the skin didn't crisp up as much as I would've liked. But now I've made my mistakes for myself and I'm ready to make it for my dinner for 14 coming up."

Dear Di:
I did a similar thing w/ the marinade! I left too much on when I put it in the oven because I thought that might give it more flavor...I think I wouldn't wipe it completely off though. I think I'd wipe half or so then add some oil.

Readers: Here’s a link to the Peruvian Chicken Recipe - also on the NYT Cooking app, but the link here is to another one (that’s not behind a paywall).

Song of the Week

My Mah Jong host last week had the coolest playlist on, including this one. So fun.
